wrapping up
Congratulations on completing the Video 120 CDA program as part of your CDA for Home Visitors. You might be wondering right now what comes next.
On the CDA credential website, find and request a Professional Development Specialist (PDS) to review your portfolio and observe you at work with the children in your classroom. Also on the CDA credential website, sign up to take the CDA examination. Once you have paid the required fees to the CDA council, you will be granted permission for the observation visit and to sit for the exam. After the observation, your PDS will record your evaluation of that visit. After the exam, your score will be sent to the CDA council. Once all these requirements have been fulfilled, the CDA council will decide to award your CDA credential. Questions about this process should be directed to the CDA council.
In addition, if you reside in Washington State, we will record STARS based on your completion of the Video 120 CDA for Home Visitors program. We also will email you your certificate of completion as a record of your STARS hours. Residents of other states will also receive a certificate of completion which may count towards annual hours in your state registry.
Then, keep in touch. Now that you've earned your CDA with the help of the Video 120 CDA for Home Visitors program, we hope you will continue to work with us as you add professional development hours asked-for by your registry each year. And remember you can apply our courses to your CDA renewal too. You can find many fineonline courses right here, at The Skillful Teacher.
Go forward with our best wishes. Thank you for being part of this course!
